About

We are researchers at Brown University affiliated with the Environmental Change Initiative. Our goal is to present examples of statistical methods used in Natural and Social Environmental Science research to support interdisciplinary research on the environment. Rather than present a linear course in statistics (abundantly available elsewhere), we will present select examples of methods we have used in our own research. Examples include information about the appropriate statistical packages (primarily in R) and sample code. We also emphasize how to effectively communicate research results using summary figures produced with graphics packages in R.
